the watercolour by andy warhol '' pink cat with green eyes'' was acquired in the 1950s by the german scientist Dr. Armin Bickel and remained in his family until the end.
Dr. A. Bickel was a close collaborator of Wernher von Braun during WW2 (rocket engineer during the war in Peenemünde). After the war he emigrated with his family to Canada. Later he worked together with Wernher von Braun on various development projects and did research in space technology at Nasa.
After Armin J. Bickel's death, the watercolour was bequeathed to his daughter, who in turn bequeathed the watercolour to her daughter, who lives in Hamburg.
